I was born in Montreal. My passions include reading, writing, traveling and trying exotic foods. I worked for Chapters bookstore for about 5 years. As a result, I had tremendos access to all sorts of history, political and cultural study books. I started to seriously read when I was about fifteen years old and never looked back. Over the years I have gone from reading small fiction books to now reading mostly non fiction. My focus on history and political science in school, as well as my own personal quest for knowledge, has led me to question the world and how it is being run. History may not repeat itself, but it does rhyme.
Something to think about...
During my time at Concordia I took a course on the history of Haiti. I knew little about the history of island; however, i did know quite a bit about mercantilism and imperialism. Still, I was shocked how Haiti was, and continues to be, so poorly treated by North America and Europe. The issue of slavery on the island was also heartbreaking. After I completed the course I made a Youtube video which I titled "Lament to Slavery". It can be seen below. I believe that the video speaks for itself.
